DESCRIPTION:Join our Discovery Meeting to learn more about our 2027 June Senegal: North to Saint-Louis & Podor (French Language Educator Trip) with VITE (Virginia International Teachers Exchange) \nThrough a partnership with Bonjour Friends\, and the Ministry of Education in Senegal\, Vive is offering a service trip to the northern regions of Senegal to work with local schools and NGOs in the Podor region. We will also spend time in Dakar\, Gorée\, and Saint-Louis. Join our Discovery to learn all about the trip! \nBe sure to review the specially-designed V.I.T.E Itinerary and Frequently Asked Questions\, as well as Vive’s 2025 Program Terms and Conditions before booking. \nThe trip will cost around $3\,500 for 8-9 people. If we have more people\, we will work to lower the price for everyone. \nPlease submit your brief preliminary application. Once we have 6-8 people\, we will set up a page on the website for paying your deposit as well as to formally sign up for the trip. ​ \nVive l’expérience will review your application before clearing you for travel.​ We will work to offer spots to teachers in different parts of the state of Virginia\, as well as those who teach at different levels K-16.  \n\nCan DMV teachers join the trip too? Oui !\nCan French Immersion / DLI teachers join the trip? Bien sûr!\nCan French-speaking spouses join too? Oui\, oui! We encourage them to join the group with all of our activities.\nCan French language educators from elsewhere in the USA and Canada join as well? Yes! We will have room for you as well.\n\nVive will give priority in the order in which we receive applications and deposits\, as well as to educators first. We will maintain a waitlist\, if needed.
