Settle in and, depending on arrival time, explore the legendary ruins of Carthage, once the heart of the great Phoenician empire. Wander through its Roman baths, amphitheater, and temples while soaking in stunning views of the Mediterranean. End the evening with a welcome dinner and an introduction to Arabic phrases to enhance your interactions throughout the trip.

Day 2Tunis – The Charm of Sidi Bou Said & School Visit

Start the day in Sidi Bou Said, a breathtaking white-and-blue coastal village known for its vibrant arts scene and stunning views over the Gulf of Tunis, then enjoy a leisurely lunch by the sea. In the afternoon, engage in an interactive visit to a local school, meeting Tunisian teachers and students for a cross-cultural exchange. Return to Tunis for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3History & Heritage in the Medina of Tunis

Immerse yourself in Tunisia’s rich history with a visit to The National Bardo Museum, home to the world’s finest collection of Roman mosaics. Afterward, stroll through the UNESCO-listed Medina of Tunis, exploring winding alleyways, historic souks, and landmarks like the Zitouna Mosque. Enjoy a traditional Tunisian lunch, then spend free time browsing bookstores and artisan markets before regrouping for a cultural discussion over dinner.

Day 4Journey to Kairouan & the Desert Oasis of Tozeur

Travel south to Kairouan, one of Islam’s holiest cities, and admire architectural marvels like the Great Mosque, the Aghlabid Basins, and the intricate tilework of the Barbier Mausoleum. Wander through the lively medina, meet local artisans, and take part in a hands-on carpet weaving workshop. After a traditional lunch, continue through breathtaking landscapes toward Tozeur, a lush desert oasis where we’ll settle in for the night.

Day 5Date Tasting, Sahara Safari & Oasis Villages

Begin with a cooking class led by a renowned Tunisian chef, followed by a date tasting experience, savoring Tunisia’s prized “queen of all dates.” After lunch, embark on an exhilarating 4WD safari through the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Ong Jemal. Explore cascading waterfalls, hidden desert villages, and cinematic landscapes featured in Star Wars. Return to Tozeur for a relaxing dinner.

Day 6Salt Lakes & Sahara Adventures in Douz

Start the day with a visit to Chott El Jerid, a vast salt lake shimmering with mirages. Continue to Douz, the gateway to the Sahara, where you can opt for an exciting camel or ATV ride across the dunes. As the sun sets, experience an unforgettable dinner under the stars in the desert, with traditional nomadic entertainment.

Day 7Underground Dwellings & Berber Heritage

Venture to Matmata, home to the troglodyte dwellings of the Berber people—some of which served as filming locations for Star Wars! Meet local families and gain insight into their way of life. Continue to the Chenini Berber Village, perched on a hilltop, then visit Ksar Hadada, a former grain storage site transformed into another Star Wars film location. After a traditional lunch, we make our way to Djerba Island for a relaxing evening.

Day 8Djerba’s Rich History & Art Scene

Wake up in Djerba, North Africa’s largest island, known for its multicultural heritage and stunning Mediterranean coastline. Spend the morning at a local private elementary school with the students and teachers. Enjoy a traditional Tunisian lunch, then browse the lively souks of Houmt Souk, stopping at pottery workshops and artisan stalls. Visit the El Ghriba Synagogue, one of the oldest in the world, and explore Djerbahood, a world-famous street art village in a Jewish quarter.

Day 9Oasis Biking & Arrival in Sousse

Start the morning with a biking tour through the lush Chenini Oasis, where palm groves and hidden springs provide a stunning contrast to the desert landscapes. After lunch, we continue north to Sousse, a historic coastal city. Take the afternoon to explore the UNESCO-listed medina and enjoy a delicious dinner overlooking the sea.

Day 10Roman Wonders & the Hammamet Riviera

Today, we visit the awe-inspiring El Jem Amphitheater, one of the best-preserved Roman colosseums in the world. Walk in the footsteps of gladiators as you explore this grand monument.
